The Team That Makes It All Happen...
Meet Our Chef
Chef Heather Boggs has an impressive background and a deep love for cooking that began when she was young. After graduating from Cummings High School, she went on to earn her degree in Hospitality and Tourism Administration at NCCU. Heather joined our kitchen in 2019 and became executive chef in October of 2022. She attributes much of her success to Ms. Tiffanie King, her culinary instructor and mentor at CTEC. When Heather is not creating new and exciting dishes for Burlington Beer Works, she enjoys giving back to the community by instructing cooking classes for children and catering for Cone Health. Her drive and passion for cooking continues to grow each day she’s here.
Tracy Schmidt (Johnson) is an Alamance County native with over 20 years of management and team-building experience. Her love of community and drive to strengthen the food and beverage culture in Alamance County is cohesive with our Co-Op culture and the vision of Burlington Beer Works. Creating a dynamic team to ensure the highest quality of food and beverage, Tracy looks forward to developing a culture of hospitality within Downtown Burlington. Tracy is driven by the ability to connect our community by primarily sourcing from within Alamance County and offering a well-crafted selection that brings everyone in our community to the table.
In 2007, Jeremy Hunt began homebrewing. Over the past 15 years, Jeremy’s travels have been guided by “beer tourism” which have influenced his techniques and broadened his “beer”spective. Jeremy is a true-to-style – “traditionalist” – when it comes to brewing. Traditional recipes use four basic ingredients – hops, malt, yeast, and water. Jeremy will be creating a diverse selection of unfiltered, unpasteurized beers with up to 12 on tap at any one time.
